The ProJam2 template includes switchable Light or Dark layouts including an expanded ProJam2 theme which utilises a single header and footer from the skin to give a more unified look and design. The skin and theme should only be used together, other themes may not be compatible if used with the ProJam2 skin.

If you are installing this template yourself please follow the instructions below using suitable file editing software such as BBEdit or alternatively use the Template Editor in the your Admin Tools.

Installation:

1. Unzip the file on your hard drive and using suitable FTP software simply copy/upload all files and folders within the ProJam2 jamroom folder to the jamroom directory on your server.

2. To install the ProJam2 Skin in your Jamroom, log-in as admin and select Admin Options then Jamroom Skins then select ProJam2 as the Active Skin.

3. To install the ProJam2 Theme in your Jamroom, log-in as admin and select Admin Options then Profile Themes then click the Install New Theme button and select ProJam2 >> ProJam2, click install and set as Default Theme.

Note: Remember to Rebuild your Profiles after transferring users to the ProJam2 theme.


Site branding:

Simply edit or replace the following files to change the branding of your template.

Signup Graphics.

Light or Dark layout (Skin and Theme).


PJ2 Settings (ProJam2.cfg file):

ProJam2 has many configuration settings, as admin you will see a link in the top header PJ2 Settings which links to the PJ2 Settings page in your admin. You can also edit the file directly which is located in skins/ProJam2/ProJam2.cfg

Note: Please take your time to view the PJ2 Settings and descriptions.


Admin Radio Station:

As standard the Radio Station menu link is DISABLED in PJ2 Settings. If you haven't already done so, create a new Admin Radio station in your admin and make a note of the Station ID, go to your PJ2 Settings, ENABLE the Stations and enter the Site Station ID number. Remember to add songs to the Station using the Included Songs button.

Note: Your artists MUST have songs uploaded to their profiles before you can include any to your Admin Radio station - If you do not include any songs the Radio Stations page will show an ERROR


Admin TV Channel:

As standard the TV Channel menu link is DISABLED in PJ2 Settings. If you haven't already done so, create a new Admin TV Channel in your admin and make a note of the Channel ID, go to your PJ2 Settings, ENABLE the Admin TV Channel and enter the Admin TV Channel ID number. Remember to add videos to the Channel using the Included Videos button.

Note: Your artists MUST have FLV or WMV videos uploaded to their profiles before you can include any to your Admin TV Channel - If you do not include any videos the TV Channel page will show an ERROR


Admin Blogs and Site News:

ProJam2 includes news and informational pages which are based on the Jamroom blog system, these pages use category names so that the blogs are routed to the correct pages in the template.

When you create Admin Blogs or blogs for your News Page you need to set the correct category for the blogs to show up in the correct place. There are 4 (ADMIN ONLY) Site Blog categories About, Blog, News and Welcome. And 3 (PUBLIC) News Page categories Latest, Featured and Exclusive. Only the (PUBLIC) News Page can be shared with other users when they use these categories in their blog posts.

Site Admin Pages:

Modify or create a new blog and in the New Entry Category make sure to enter one of these categories.

Note: If you do not set these categories, the blog entries will NOT be shown in the correct place.


Artist Subscriptions Page:

A three section artist subscriptions page has been introduced which can be manually edited to reflect up to three artists quotas configured in your admin "1 free and 2 paid quotas", this page is located in skins/ProJam2/subscribe.tpl. For further information on configuring your Jamroom quotas please consult the Jamroom documentation: http://www.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_Quota_System

If you do not want subscriptions you can switch the links off in the P2 Settings.

Note: If you have NO subscriptions set in your quotas the Subscription page will show a PAGE ERROR.


StepCarousel - Slider:

The Step Carousel slider on the Home Page, Labels Page and Charts Page has various settings which are controlled by PJ2 Settings. You can manually select which 3 (max) bands to show on each individual page, or leave as RANDOM which is the standard setting. You can also disable the Carousel for each page, for all options see PJ2 Settings


AdManager or Google Ads:

Google Ads have been configured throughout the template skin, your Google Ads code for ALL ads needs to be set in PJ2 Settings.

If you prefer to use the Jamroom AdManager, set the Gogle Ads to NO in PJ2 Settings. Set the TYPE in AdManager to 180x150, 250x250, 120x600, 468x60, or 728x90 (these are the ad sizes available).

Note: As of writing, the Jamroom AdManager does NOT support Google AdSense code.


Video settings:

The ProJam2 Template now supports the following video formats "WMV, MOV and FLV" which need to be set for each artist quota. Login to your Admin and choose "Media Support" in your quotas, locate the "Video Settings" section and in Valid Video Formats enter "wmv,mov,flv".

The video system in the ProJam2 Template also supports embedded video from YouTube.com and other video embed sites. A new custom form field must be created in the admin named "Video Embed" which will allow users to paste in the embedded video code. The correct HTML tags must also be set in the "Allowed HTML Tags" section in the "Extra Features" tab in each artists quota. Please follow these instructions for the embedded video configuration:

Note: Entering video embed code in the new "Video Embed" custom field will override a video file, therefore if your artists have uploaded a video file but still have code entered in the Video Embed field, the embedded video will be shown unless the code is removed.

Note: The maximum size for standard embedded video is (width="425" x height="350") as configured at YouTube.com


Language Files:

ProJam2 is configured for Jamroom's multilingual system which allows the site language to be quickly changed by clicking on the flags in the welcome bar. If you wish to use an additional language for your site you can do so by translating from one of the existing language files which are located in the "skins/ProJam2/lang/" directory. Once you have completed the translation, save the file as ProJam2-??.php with "??" being your counties suffix, this single language file controls both skin and theme. You will then need to edit the file skins/ProJam2/index_menu.tpl and place the following line in the "Language Flags" section - either above or below the existing calls:
